Update 16/12/2024Well the year is passing, in one sense it’s been a quiet year on Glan GorsAs Newsletters cost 80 or 90 pound a time I’ve decided to update the web site as everybody has access to it. All emails sent to the Association have been dealt with and responded to.Important, I have asked MSB for permission to put up a satellite dish and they have given permission. So if you want one simply email MSB and ask.The tree project and the car park project are both complete, we have spent just over 25k of the 30k we were holding that was part of the historic reserve fund.If you wish to contact the association for any reason please email residentsassociation@glangors.infoIf you are a Leaseholder or Tenant and would like to become a member you will find a Membership Form in the menu on the left. Email it to the above address or post/deliver it to Peter Hunter Marks at 83 Glan Gors, Harlech, Gwynedd, LL46 2NX.If you have problems printing the Forms Page simply email the Association requesting a form and we will send you one.Dave Oakley is currently preparing costs for sorting the Bin and Drying area in phase 1.Food WasteIf you want a small food waste caddy for indoors or a larger one for outside please email the association or call round to 83 Glan Gors.If you would like some of the bio degradable bags for food waste please let us know or call round to 83 Glan Gors as we have a supply. These items would normally be supplied by the refuse collecters when they call to your property which is why we haven't been given them. The council have agreed to supply them to the Association, some have already been issued by us.Rear Car Park RestoredAfter a lot of planning the neglected rear car park has now been restored, below are before and after pictures.Refuse CollectionWe have been having problems with the refuse collection for the estate in recent months. We have been in discussions with the council to rectify the issue.Gwynedd are switching to 3 weekly collections, we think the council now accept that during the Spring and Summer months this is not viable. We have had to really stand our ground but at the moment we appear to be getting weekly collections for general waste and 2 weekly collections for recycling. As phase 3 bin area was short of bins we have had the number increased. We really must use the bins correctly, if people continue to dump the contents of their properties into the bins, furniture, building waste then the council will simply refuse to empty the bins and we will have to pay a lot of money to sort the issue. There is a Recycling Center a couple of miles down the road and you can book appointments online, or you could go on line and pay for items to be collected from your property. You are responsible for your rubbish, you do not have the right to dump what want in the bins or bin area.
